The Rumford committee is made up of volunteers from within the industry. These volunteers have made the committee by standing at the AGM and are members who regularly attend and contribute to the growth of the club.
Today, Committee business is largely concerned with membership (and sometimes
recruitment) and the formulation of a programme. Executive committee meetings are usually held 1 hour before a Rumford dinner to discuss matters arising and inform members at the dinner of any news or changes.
The Vice-Chairperson (who is in fact the Chairperson-elect) presents their proposals for the programme to be followed during their year as Chairperson.
